Hi all,
I recently picked up one of these 4 tracks at a garage sale for the ridiculous price of $20. The only catch: it didn't come with a power adapter. No big deal, right?
When typing portastudio into google, before you finish typing the second 4 in 424, the autocomplete suggests the phrase "power adapter." And for good reason, because these adapters are getting increasingly more difficult. Tascam basically laughed in my face when I called.
Now I am getting desperate, I've bid on broken units on ebay to try and get my hands on this crucial part. No luck yet. I've lurked on this forum for some time, and I've noticed that there is a niche of users who have these 4 tracks. Any chance one of you has an extra?
For most of my recording, I use my computer, but I really like the sound of analogue, and it is much easier to lug around a 4 track rather than my whole computer rig to record jam sessions.
