I think you were the guy I promised some sound clips of the DMP3 vs. Behringer mixer to?
Well, I recorded 'em last night, but due to a freakin' windows error, I lost it all. I don't really think the differences would show up on an mp3 anyway.
My advice is go for it. It really is a noticable step up in clarity and presence. Good luck finding one used. I got mine at Guitar Center for $180 by haggling with the guy. You could try that if all else fails.

Yup, I am that guy. That's alright, thanks for the attempt though. I just spoke to bayview and they said same thing. $180 no tax, no shipping. So I'm probably gonna order from there. Thanks a lot for the follow up.
