I am certainly impressed with this sound. Recorded in my living room with V67 --> Aardvark q10 --> CoolEditPro --> Waves Rverb.

I promise this is that last time I'll post like this in the mic forum. I am just amazed with this sound.

Well, I'm impressed!

Actually, the more I hear from Aardvarks, the more impressed I am with their mic pre's. Oh yeah, I want your living room, too. Just out of curiousity, what was your mic placement?

I used a v67g actually about 2 - 3 feet in front of him, with him pointing the bell at the mic.

I think the most important part of this recording was getting the wet/dry mix of the reverb to feel as if he was in a larger space. Which actually meant putting the wet higher than you would normally feel it should me in the mix. We were actually trying to make it sound as if he was the only person in a recital hall.

I think the V67 matched up to the mellow and warm sound of a flugel horn pretty well. It also helps that this guy has great tone as well.

That sounded pretty damn good for a $90 mic! I bought the V67B and haven't tried it yet. Your recording gives me some confidence that I made the right choice when I bought it. I didn't need it but I figured for the price I shouldn't pass it up.

Nice job...

I'd say you nailed it!
Sounds great!
I too continue to be impressed with the V67's sound.
One of the best deals I've come across.
