Would you buy a refurbished DP-24 with warranty?

I am looking at 2488 Neo and DP-24. Kinda going a bit crazy pondering... Many refurb DP24's are around that are a bit more affordable which is a good thing for me. I am nervous about some of the issues that have been posted about. There were quite a few "new" listings around for about $450, but seems like $599 is the current advertised price. I would prefer brand new, but could save about $150 with a refurb. Opinions or suggested vendors appreciated. Thanks!

I'd hunt for new DP-24, I have bought mine brand new from amazon where it was temporarily on sale for 479$.

nope, I have updated firmware immediately after got it. Never had any problems with new OS.

i've since updated the firmware too, so i hope this solves the problem.

I got to work last Saturday and was greeted by that email from MF. Making sure I was not still dreaming, at 7:00AM it was done. I got it a few days ago, and hope to try this weekend. First impressions are that it is a beautiful machine, and seems like a good build. I was all set to purchase at $599 just next week, so this was a blessing.

Now to find a good SDHC 32GB card...
