I didn't like how you cannot resize the frames. It also crashed several times when I went to open plugin's. It seemed to need to rescan them every time I opened the "FX" option.
You cannot make the time line anything other than hours:minutes:seconds. I really like working sometimes in Measure grids.
No markers in the time line.
I could not assign multi outputs. Everything must run into the master buss and to the pair of outputs that you assign via the Preferences.
No balloon popups when the cursor hovers over a button to tell you what it is. He should include ESP lessons with the release!
I didn't go far enough after all these discoveries to find more. I am sure there is plenty.
I personally ain't a fan of the Vegas layout.
$20 says the author burns out trying to add the features that people are going to want, and/or, he starts running into some hard to fix problems. If some of the other freeware is any indication, this software is going to be feature-lean and buggy for at least another couple years. Unless the guy is totally rich and doesn't have to work, and ENJOYS making complicated free software, getting finishing touches on something like that is very time consuming. I doubt it will be free for long!

Haha, three days into testing and it's finally starting to crack up on me. I seem to be having....well, the same problems I have with Vegas so maybe it's just me.

Either way, you are pressing a case. So go ahead! But know that this is not a new idea, and some of the bigger cats (read: Un-supportive dealers of crap!) have already been down this road from the beginning of computer-based recording. There are, allegedly, un-supportive companies out there, but they still have a devoted user-base. This Reaper fellow may just be re-inventing the wheel, or simply building a 'better' napkin.
If this app has potential to offer something novel or has itself a niche- or maybe is just useful, solid, and free, that's cool! It'll earn a response. But a 90-lb upstart needs to exercise a little respect for the big guys. Right? I bet he's not making any rash claims about the 'competition'.
n-Track is a good app, but the most die-hard users will tell you it's got some bugs (as I may have mentioned before), and Flavio's been at it a good while now.
I am not an authority on all this- but I know that 2+2=4, and it stands to reason that I make sense here. I'll load this booger when my PC comes back from getting it's upgrade, and when I've run at it good and hard, I'll throw in my less-than-.02 with the rest of this motley crew here!

I have tried N-track and it didn't even see my hardware.
I like the idea of a lean app and I plan on staying on this program to try to ensure that it stays this way.
I know that Vegas has been going down the tubes and this program offers a ray of hope for us who want things simpler and more streamlined.
