Would this work?

Ok, I'm new to this whole computer recording thing, but I have an idea of what I want to do. With the "ST Audio DSP 3000" (http://staudio.com/products/dsp3000.html) could I say plug all 8 of my drum mics into it, and record each mic as its own track on adobe audition's multi track?

Looks cool. The only thing I don't dig is the mic inputs are in the back. Unless you're are gonnna set and forget this might be a hassle if you have it in a rack. How much is it?
 
Looks interesting, especially for $700. If you find any reviews please post a link...
 
It will do what you want to do. I have the C-Port, which uses exactly the same PCI card, but only has 2 balanced inputs (the rest unbalanced). The mic preamps on my box are pretty crappy though - I don't know what the M-Port's are like.
