im in the market for a nice vocal mic/ambient guitar cabinet mic.

im guessing 2 separate mics would suite 2 different jobs better.

i was wondering if i should get the lomo head for my mc012 mic and/or an audio technica 4033 (44) or similar?

just getting some suggestions because my octava isnt the greatest sounding vocal mic with the cardioid capsule.

ive been wanting to invest in a nice large diaphram mic for quite some time now... your ideas would be great. id want a quality mic so money isnt that much of an object... id treat it as an investment >$1500 would be nice though :)

thanks!

I think Harvey Gerst has a LOMO head he uses for vocals sometimes and, if I remember correctly, he likes it a lot. My guess is that it would compete with $1500 mics very well. I'm interested, myself, in the LOMO.
