Hello All,

I was hoping to get a little feedback on these mixes at my soundclick

They are just instrumentals - vocals are coming for a couple of them

Just wanted to see how the mixes sounded

Thanks - Much appreciated :)

I thought "for after now" was the best recording and showed a more familiar groove. made me want a baileys irish cream on the rocks and a good havanna...very smooth.

the first one "right now" was original, imo, strange which usually comes with more original sounds. can't say it sounds like anything I've heard before?
that in itself was worth it.

Beginning today sounded like there was maybe a few holes? some more precussion due to the more chord structured tune..like you did around 3:16,
the ending was there, very nice additional pieces.

you asked...ain't my fault.

Thanks for the feedback !! Appreciate the listen

They are all "in development" :p

I like the genre that the "For After Now" is in... Smooth... Definately fits. All in all, sounds good. "For After Now" is what I'm listening to. One thing I think you could do to make it better would be to have the bass drum and bass guitar more synchronous and sort of acting as one... I guess the bass sounds fine, but the bass drum doesn't seem to be doing it on this track, maybe add a bit more low range one the bass drum...

All in all though, it does sound really good and is smooth.

your daily backfeed

right here--i'm really missin the guitar. i know its there but i'm not gettin it.
the tone is buried, crisper guitar would make a huge dif. to me.

beggining today--the sounds are really out there! might be cool to have them
pan slow from L to R and back to create a 3D audio image.

for after now--you got way more defined tones goin on here!

over all i was tryin to not let the drum machine bother me on the first 2 tracks but somthing in the timing was really confusing. the last track was much better in that sence.

your songs are potentially killers! i hope to here them here when your vox get in there!

thanx for the post, it was good listening :)

Right Here,
Does need the guitar lifted somewhat or a peak in some frequencies at least as it has too much in common with the other sounds going on.
This'll be an ace song when the vocals are added & the mix tweaked.

Really appreciate the feedback Gents!

I am pretty Green when it comes to mixing so this feedabck will help alot - It's kind of hard to learn in isolation

Just some background on these tunes - "For After Now" is just a "smooth instrumental" little tune - I am a bass player by trade so i wanted to see what I could do with the guitar.

'Right Here" was done for a friend who plays guitar - I am definitely still trying to figure out where this one is going

"Beggining Today" is still being developed but I hope to eventually get a "Seal" type vibe going on with it

Anyway - Thanks again - I have some good ideas from these comments to implement and work on :)

"Far After Now" makes me wanna bone my lady. Too bad she's not home right now.
