Would anyone be interested in adding a Hammond-type solo to this?

Soo... basically random "vocal creation", or something? Reminds me of I-E-A-I-A-O or whatever it's called from System of a Downs latest album. :)

OMG I'm so into this at the moment. It's amazing :D I'd buy it if it was released :D

*hugs*

(the song, not you, unless you really want it :o :))

Great stuff

Wow! That is making me feel like it was worth staying up all night to get this far. I really appreciate what you said. I know we all had our talk about how the pros and cons of negative vs. positive feedback in craw's thread, but lemme tell ya you have really made me psyched about the next time I get to work on something.

p.s. were you serious about the Cakewalk software thing?

Haha, thanks Canopus. That is the drunken hornpipe chant of Jackpappys Merlinder the fiercest pirate o' da Carribe!

seriously tho, just vocalization

ROFL, I love you man....I love you....you're a delight to this board :D

What where I said "What is Cakewalk?" Of course not :)

I am a bit newbish though, I guess time will pass :)

Haha, I just worked out what your name meant.

*Hangs a "retard" sign above his head*

Haha, don't worry. I don't think he checks my threads.

I saw a comment from him once but I think it was the "perfunctory HRC" post. :D sorry flat, just bustin chops .. that is if you ever read this

I try to get to as many threads as I can especially those who have spent time listening and posting on my music, including yourself. No-one's on my ignore list, yet.

Although I must say, it is protocol to be acknowledged when you spin a tune 5-10 times (minimum for me for a credible critique ) and post comments (perfunctory as they may seem. (per example 'The Deal') There probably is no better way turn people off to your threads, and if I'm not mistaken, you brushed a few of us off on your HRC.

I'll get to this one after a few more listens. It's in the "only listened to 3 times category as is Tjarko's new tune. See you after this stretch of gigs is over.

peace,
Ralph

Is Flat-9 around? No....ok.....I can do it for ya, Khompy! I've got no technique whatsoever but that's part of the fun right? Don't tell Flat-9!
LOL

I'm always around. Yes, I love you too, you silly little Dutch boy..... :D :D :D

Aaaiiieeeeeeee .. jeez Im sorry. I never meant to give this impression. I really appreciated the feedback I got for the the deal and I had such an enjoyable time participating in the challenge man I'm so psyched that we do stuff like this. I would never want to brush anyone off, it's probably me just not knowing what is appropriate.

Ultimately though you are right. It is Pedullist's fault. It is always Ped's fault. Dammit, he just brings too much joy to everything. Damn you PED!!! He is contagious AND corrupting!

What?! This is way out of line! How can you say that?!

ROFL :D

You got it Khomp. Remember, it's always my fault. The question isn't 'how bad do we suck?', no it's 'why do we suck?'....and the answer is 'it's all Pedullist's fault'. :)

*pisses pants* :D

Yep, I love you too Ralph...and Khomp....everyone. I'm full of love, as much as I'm full of failure...LOL

I'm a bit slow you see :D

/me puts on Borrow again...... quality song

Very Good Song-Smooth melody-good vocals-like the guitar work especially the verbed solo bits. Good mix, I don't hear anything that makes me cringe. This has a good flow between the melody and chord progression, good pacing laying off the drums occasionally too. Actually the lead vocal gets a little buried when you modualte up a key-not really a big deal. I like this alot, your 2 for 2 cool songs that I've heard.

LMAO on the last paragraph :D :D :D :D :D

I knew you were a hip cat and nice person re: your response on lack of acknowledgement on "Khomphy's Turn".

Rule of thumb is to respond to each post individually or collectively with something like...." Thanks for the listen".......even if the post to your thread was merely "cool tunage" or "nice playing" ......simply outta respect.

Your humble response warms the cockles of my heart!

peace dude,
Ralph

In between Saturday gigs here! Check out the tune later as previously stated. ( a funeral , 1 wedding ceremony & 1 cocktail hour so far so far.) Damn , I'm addicted to this place!!!! I should be crashing!!!

Aha.. wasn't doing that.

I think I got spooked from doing that after Carlos got beaned for posting in his own thread ("tanto" - beautiful song). Plus it kind of felt like a jinx for a while, if I posted in my own thread it died a quick and miserable death.

Anyway, good luck with the gig's, that's some talented son you have you must be very proud. Anyway on to business..

*ahem*

Stratomaster, Ye kindly good sur,

I thank thee for thine keine input. Ye begats me too much graciousness. My loyalty and liege to you.

:D

Seriously though, thank you Strat very much appreciated. I didn't know where I was going with this song at first but then I started turning some of the verb guits backwards and then it just took off.

..see im learning..

Am I first?

Sweet. Unfortunately it's late so I'm stuck between these headphones. Oh well...let's have a listen.

Mix works very well on headphones. You've got a real nice voice man. Couple notes could be tighter pitch-wise, in case you didn't notice it. Noticing it more on phones.

Ahh..here's the organ.

Pretty nice Tjarko. Not bad. Little loose when it should be tight, little tight when it should be loose, IMO. Maybe a bit stiff. But I have no idea what your keyboard experience is. Mine's pretty limited. I think the sound was good on phones. Cool vibe.

Nice, guys.

Tom

Downloading now - slow-ass dialup, probably won't listen 'til tomorrow. I was gonna volunteer, but Ped beat me to the punch. Plus I'm a bit nervous about holding myself out as an organist with an organ GOD in the clinic (he hasn't caught my granddaughter thread yet - talk about a sloppy solo!)...
