Just ordered my new ST Audio C-Port.....Should be here in a few days....Just as well, gives me time to tidy up and re organize the stuido...That's it...Just realy happy is all....How many other people have been happy with theirs?....WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

I just sold my C-port a few days ago after a year of great service. I think it is an excellent system and it worked great for me. You should have a good time with it.

Cool...Thanks for the reply....It'll be a little learning curve at the least what with goin' from my 16trk analog setup to this, but I'm not gettin' rid of the other setup for anything....just gives me more options this way, especially when I gett the $$$ for a syncbox ...

Outta interest, why did you sell it?....What setup were you useing and what software.....Cheers!

PS...Anyone else too?

Congrats!!!

I feel the same way about my Delta 1010lt which I won't be able to use until I get my new machine built. I looked seriously at the C-Port. It looks very nice. It was just a bit out of my price range for the time being. :)

Well here is my history of recording.

I started off with a Boss Br-8
Then I added a zip disk to my computer and started using a cheap version of cakewalk and importing the wave files from my BR-8 as waves.

Then I liked computer recording so much that I upgrading my software big time to Sonar which I bought off of ebay pretty inexpensively.

Well, after a while, I realized that I needed 8in and I also had upgraded other equipment so I decided that I wanted to go all computer-based. Sold the Br-8 and bought the C-port after lots of deliberation. It was between that and the Delta but after talking to lots of people they said that the C-port was a good value for someone like me. Also this allowed me to by nuendo which my cousin had suggested. So Nuendo, Win XP on a blazing fast computer built just for the C-port, and the of course the C-port is what I used up until a few days ago.
The only reason I am selling it is because I've been saving like crazy and now I have some cash and I am trying to get really serious about recording and charge people (as well as put out a kick ass demo for my own band). I thought I would upgrade slowly to get myself semi-pro gear. Namely mics, and the converters. I want to buy an RME Multiface. I just have to learn as much as possible about the art of recording as well.

I am also going to get a mackie 32X8 mixer to replace my behringer 3282a. But one step at a time.

Anyway, I think you will be happy with the C-port. Just make sure you go to the website and look at the discussion forum and read all the knowledge base articles. What kind of computer are you using? Mainly, what type of chipset? I heard some chipsets have probelms with the c-port but personally I have an intel 845i chipset so I had no problems.
Let me know if you have any questions.... I am really new to this but so many people help me so I like to at least offer some of my experience with the c-port, as little as it may be.
