I just received a bi-powered Rokit 8 that was refurbished in the mail and I'm not sure If the monitor is busted, or if I'm just doing something horribly wrong. After trying to hook it up to my mbox, I received nothing but a low sounding treble like version of the track I was attempting to play on Fruity Loops. So then I tried routing it through my Line 6 spyder amp to play guitar...It worked beautifully, full sound and sub etc...but after a few short minutes of play, The speaker went back to the low fuzzy sound about 1/4 of the volume it was at. So I tried everything from testing the voltage on the fuses, (they were fine) moving the monitor into different rooms, changing outlets, and directly connecting my mic/guitar directly into the monitor itself. After figuring it was probably broken, I came home the following day and tried again with the Line 6...it worked beautifully for a few minutes again...then back to fuzzy treble. Ive tried multiple TRS cables, (so it's not faulty wiring), any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
