Hi, I have some Shure E2 in-earphones and want to get a wireless system to use with these for personal monitoring. Been wanting to get a Shure PSM series system, but they're a bit pricey.

Anyone have any experience or opinions on this system or any of the alternatives.

Well, I've been using the one that comes with the E3 headphones (I think the model number is either the PSM-200 or the PSM-400). I like them and would recommend this system if somebody was wanting an IEM system. A couple of caveats, however:

1) Using in-ear monitors DOES take a little getting used to.
2) It really works best if you have a band that mics everything and has enough spare sends on the board that you can create a separate, personalized monitor mix for everyone who is using in-ears cans. (Although there are some workarounds. For example, my band does NOT mic all instruments, but I was able to get good results by setting up a single condenser mic to pick up stuff that wasn't coming through the cans.)

But, once you get used to them, and figure out how to get them to work for you, they're great!
