It's Too Funky in Here!!!
Yep,... this is it!;)

Recorded 07/09/08 on the Tascam DP02CF using the Tascam 244 as front-end (input) mixer, Pro Co Roadkill distortion and Shure BG 5.0 condenser mic. Master track mixed and rendered internally on the DP02CF. (This is how practice sessions sound at my house lately, just for fun). An unfinished WIP!

PS: I've not worked out the authentic ending, so I just repeated the 1st solo instead. Outro/TBD, so please don't hate me for butchering this song!;)

That distorted guitar is pretty close to the orig - cool... The mix seems a bit centered although the clarity and separation is good. I might add a smidge more reverb myself, but then again, I'm a reverb nut... Definitely has a big sound - those Tascams have their own special tone....

Yeah,...

helped in large part by the use of the 244 as F/E, no doubt.

With internal mixdown on the DP02cf, I can get better S/N db overall than by using my built-in sound cards on any of my ol'puters.;)

Thanx for listening and your comments. All true. Good ears. No verb for me. Special diet. Hold the cheese.;)

I'll take your slice if you don't want it then, cause I love me some cheese:D

Sounds great. No drums on this one? It was so rockin' I almost didn't notice.

Me, I'm a fan of the mono mix, though I think I hear a bit of separation going on, or maybe my ears are playing tricks on me.

Vocals sit nicely, electric guitar tone is nice. I like the fade out too... cool little jam session.
