Looks like I'm too late since you already made the purchase. I wan't going to post but then I got curious. For my own info, what was the problem with the EZbus. I went to their website and according to that it's supposed to work.
The EZbus uses either a WDM (Windows Driver Model) driver, which is supported by Windows ME (Millennium Edition) and Windows XP, or the EZbus ASIO driver. The EZbus uses an MME driver which is supported by Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows 2000. All of these drivers provide two channels of full-duplex audio via USB.
I'm just curious because I also am running Win2000 and was thinking of getting the EZbus. What problems did you have JC?

Here is something posted onmidman's website in the FAQ section. The problem is with win2k, you can only pass audio thru the USB. You can not use it as a control surface. This is the main reason I bought it. It even has a template for Cubase.

I tried messing with the buffer settings on my Delta 1010 control panel but got the same results.
Any hints to this new problems would be appreciated.

JC - I experienced similar problems with Sonar playing MIDI tracks back through to the EZBus. I pulled up a MIDI turtorial in Sonar and tryed to play it. I got "AM Tuner" like results with intermittent sounds bleeping out.
My SBLIve may the culprit. Or it could be buffers. Did you get anywhere with this?

Just a word...
When it comes to PC's, I never take the easy way out. Because I get paid to solve problems with computers, I screw around around with every new thing that comes down the pike so I can break it(and fix it) first.
I ran my first upgrade from windows ME to windows XP well before XP was released(I even got a pretty color certificate from Bill Gates thanking me for testing his os...Im sure he really signed it himself...). IT went smooth as silk, absolutely no problems.
I then switched motherboards, from a Tyan athlon slot a 1ghz to an Iwill XP1800. Still no problems. It adapted to the differant chipset with zero problems. (dont try this at home kids...not with data you care about).
I then upgraded it to the production release version, and after this yet another upgrade, still no problems...
I have upgraded half a dozen or so me/98/2k machines to XP, and they are all working perfectly.
My advise, for its worth, is try the upgrade. If it shits itself, then do a clean....My experiance has been that you wont hafta.
The upgrade funtion on XP is the best of any Microsoft OS I have ever run across, and I have done them all. I started with DOS 1.something, I still have a copy of windows 1.x, somewhere packed away in the crap that I really should throw away.
I still have an old compaq lugable 4.77 8086 with an old musiquest mpu401 card and a dos version of cakewalk(1.something) with a wopping 640k of memory, and a 20 mb segate st225. I think it still works....sortof...
