Not sure where to post this: I'm suddenly getting no sound playing wave files in windows media player. I get sound in other applications. Any ideas? Thanks

Do you have 2 or more soundcards? Look at the devices in WMP and make sure the right one is selected.
 
happened to me once and i had to reinstall media player.
 
I only have 1 s. cd but I went to devices & it lists D, E, & speakers. What happened to C - that's what I'm using? If I need to add it I don't see how. Thanks
