I'm trying to install Ntrack 4.1(up from 3.3)on my DAW,which is not an online machine. The install wanted .Net Framework, which I D/L'd and burned to CD to install on my DAW.When I tried to install .Net Framework,it wanted Windows Installer 3.0.I went to D/l that and Microsoft wants validation that I have a legit copy of Windows(which I do,I activated it over the phone when I upgraded to XP(sp1).Is there a way to accomplish this validation w/o hooking up to the web, which would be a major pain in the ass?

MICROSOFT'S bid to refuse access to updated versions of Windows has been foiled by hackers.

The Vole had demanded that those who wanted Windows updates, other than security improvements, had to download an Active X program that sniffed their operating system to see if their OS had been pirated.

It took about 24 hours for hackers to come up with a solution involving IE script, the hackers claim.

Don't know if this will help you but it sounds like it might. Read here:

I'm not sure what to do w/that!I don't even mind proving my windows is legit!I just don't want to have to take my network card out of my online computer, put it in my DAW,deal w/what configuring bullshit that involves,do the update, blah blah blah.....Shit,I was able to activate XP over the phone, why not this.
I suppose the bastards at Microsoft would be a better place to direct this question!
