Alright so I got a new stereo reverb in and I was checking out the L and R to see if they work properly. I noticed that the L side was kinda noisy sounds like wind hitting a microphone. The R side sounds perfectly fine to me a little bit of hiss but no WOOOSSHH like the left side. It actually does sound alot like wind, for while it'll be like whhhoooo...then...whoooooossssshhhh...then... ..whhhhhhhhhhhoo. So does anybody have an idea as to whats causing this?

Do you want to record the sounds it's making? It might help people figure out what it's doing.

I wonder if its a reverberated ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft................ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffft

Trying to remember how/when I've heard that and what I did about it...

Nailed it. Its only on the left side. I also tried the back connections and it does the same thing. Less noise is on the right.

I was told I need to take it to a tech and change the capacitors? I took it to a local audio repair and the guy told me they're 3 weeks behind. ( are you fucking serious) :spank: The seller offered me a FULL refund or a rebate. So im not sure what I should do. I could send it back for a full refund and wait for another XL 305 to show up on ebay. What do you think?

If you like the way the reverb sounds using only the right side (in mono of course), then I'd get it fixed with the local repair guy, bad, dried out caps are an issue that's pretty common in older analog mixers, guitar amps, power amps, etc. etc.

About the repair time, (a 3 weeks wait in your case), I once bought a 24x8 Mackie brand new with the meter bridge, about $3200.00 out the door if I recall correctly, then 32 days after buying it, the right side of the main stereo bus died, I had to bring the thing to Rhode Island, (next state over), and it took over 6 months before it was fixed..

Correction : OP Amps

Ive got to replace those but I dont know where to find em
