I'm having afew problems with this combo...
1. I can't get cd audio to play through he 66
2. Winamp's vol. control has no effect.

I have tried all mixer settings and output settings from winamp.

Anyone have a clue what i'm talking about?

Do you have your CD Rom set to play digital audio in the 'Device Manager'? Once you have that enabled, set the output of WinAmp to 'M Audio Delta 66 Multichannel'. You can then use both the 'Delta Mixer' and/or the 'Windows' CD volume adjustment (the WinAmp volume control will not work on CDs).

Otherwise, the latest version (and maybe earlier versions) of 'Microsoft Media Player' will work for playing CDs, and it's volume control does work.

This has been my experience...Hope it helps.

Had the same problem when I was using 98se. Installed XP and then it did fine. 98 would not allow my CD Rom to use digital out, but XP did.

thanks. It seems very strange to have problems from the most customizable player/decoder out there. Oh well.

umm... goto the help section on m-audio's website and there is a FAQ... one of the questions is about playing audio CD's with winamp and Delta cards... you need a CD plugin for winamp... it says which one.

go there and you'll find it

yeah i've gone through that but it doesn't seem to work. The faq says to use the nullsoft wave out plugin, but the is only the winamp wave out plugin. Though it seems that they would be the same thing. Other that that the lack of volume control is really a bitch. Cd's aren't quite as important.
BUt thanks for the help.
