I have the drum software BFD.
I like to program drum parts with my Akai MPC200xl, I use it like a drum machine, patterns etc.
Recording I use a Yamaha AW4416.
This is what I would like to do:
1. Midi up the Akai Via: a soundcard in a computer.
2. From there, I should be able to trigger the BFD samples with the akai pads.
3. Write my patterns within the akai, chain them to create a song.
4. Play back the song to trigger the BFD samples
5. Output from the computer into spare channels on the AW4416
-----------------------------------------------------
I think it will work ok, what I need though is a PCI card/ interface for the computer. Something that will give me many analog outputs, at least 24, as I believe most (if not all) the samples are in stereo. Also midi in and out.
So, what would you suggest for the computer? I have been looking at some on the net, but am not sure what I need.
Thanks in advance!
