I'm working on treating the room in which i record drums in. I get horribly harsh hi's and theres no noticable bass problem but I'm sure they'll show up eventually.

What I have planned so far for my room (10x11) 3 walls 1 10 foot 2 11 foot. I'm working on bass traps 4" thick with the 703, I'm lining all three conrners from floor to ceiling, 2-4x2 traps a corner. I'm just wondering if that will be enough.

I'm worried I'm still going to get reflections off the walls and some mild reverb/delay. I was think of getting a package or two of the auralex and putting them in the bad spots of the surrounding walls. My ceiling is somewhat treated, i have a blanket packed with as much 2inch insulation as i could fit in there stapled to the ceiling.

I understand that theres a million things I can do and a million variables, and you guys have no way of truely knowing what's best since its MY ROOM, but I have a pretty big band coming over this weekend and I don't have time to experiement, so I'm gonna trust the experts here.

Thanks for takin the time to read this, any advice is greatly appreciated.

Since you say you plan to buy from Auralex, it makes sense for you to ask them for their advice. Likewise for any other vendor you might buy from. This is a big reason to buy acoustic treatment rather than try to make it yourself. A good vendor will have experts on staff that can tell you exactly what to get and where to put it.

Oh my God! I just read "Acoustic Treatment and Design for Recording Studios and Listening Rooms" A few days ago by you! I have it bookmarked. Actually what I meant by "trust the experts" was that I was looking for people's advice here on the forums. As far as I'm concerned your the most trusted experts I know.

Twas an honor to hear from you,
-Barrett
