Wich soundcard will serve my needs

Hi. I´m working on some projects from my band. Guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and vocals. My first goal is mic my drumset and record it. Just four channels (kick, snare and 2 overheads). Right now I´m using SBLive 5.1. I record guitar, bass and keys without problem with SBLive, too much ssssssss but is just a demo. I´m looking for better sound quality but my budget is low (250 dollars).
Do you think that ECHO Mia could be fine for what I need. ???

Well your using 4 channels right now but it sounds like you could grow. Have you considered getting a mixer? The Mia is a good card, good dynamic range but no MIDI if you ever need that, and they are priced under $200.

I'm not seeing how your going to record drums without a preamp(s). That's one reason I'm suggestiong a mixer but your budget probably won't fit that in right away. Your gonna need a preamp of some sort.
