Why no playback

I'm having a problem in that i'm getting zero playback from my computer when I use my N-track. The funny thing is that the playback meter is going strong, showing me that it's not a lack of signal problem when I record. This playback problem is also apparent when I use Slowblast, as I can record fragments of songs, but they won't playback. It sounds like some setting problem on my computer, but I can't figure it out. Is something missing? I have Windows 98, w/ a Soundblaster 16PCI soundcard. Thanks in advance, sdtele

Is your card playing any audio at all, or just when you use N-track

Stealthtech,
Card is working completely. Cds play fine, all sounds are good except Playback. The playback is not working on both N-track and Slowbast, which makes me suspect that the soundcard is fine, but there is some setting on the computer that is faulty, or there something I need to install (that I accidently uninstalled). Of course those are just guesses, and I am certainly no expert. I've checked the volume levels, and they are all fine, nothing is on mute. I'm stumped. Ward

perhaps within your software, the output settings are not set to output to your blaster.....maybe check in audio preferences within the software program. Or audio driver settings. Not familiar with N-track, but this may get you somewhere.

Look in wave input-output device settings
You can also read thru N-track user forum

Go to File/Preferences/Wave Devices and pick which Output Device you want to use....
