Because it can't sing?
:p

Are you using the effects loop? The hum could be coming from one of the effects units.

You beat me to it. I was going to say "because it can't remember the lyrics" :D

hahha does anyone else know what its acting this way? please my Mesa Needs serious help lol

Which amp do you have?

Are you aboslutely sure that your guitar cable is good? ( are you sure).

Is there a chance that something with the power (electric company) has changed?

i have a Mesa boogie dual rectifier head connected to a Hartke can eww but it works fine just all of a sudden its acting different with the hum..my cables are fine..i have a moster speaker cable and my guitar xcables are brand new..i dunno..im going to post this on the Mesa board...

Any ungrounded Fluorescent lights in the area? Check your grounds in your room.

Potentometer

Im guessing it is the pots, or the knobs. They come in a housing and every now and then dirt can get into it, which causes hum and now and then other problems... My sudgestion is going down to the local hardware store and getting some cleaner (Can't remember what it's called... I think it's some sort of circutry cleaner.) and spraying it in the hole on the casing of the pot... Otherwise take it to the guitar shop and have them clean the pots for you, good luck!
