I have a .wav file that sounds exactly the way I want it to when I play it through iTunes or any other playback program, but when I import it into Cool Edit, the sound is changed subtly, but enough to (for me) render it pointless. I don't really know how to explain the way it is modulated, but it looses some of the sharpness that I was going for. Does anyone know if there is a way to tool with the audio settings so that when I import a track it is UNCHANGED?
