Why cant i find a soundcard with XLR ins?

okay, it seems that you're having i similar problem that i sometimes have with symantics....you thing that by going from XLR to 1/4 inch your loosing you 'XLR balanced' signal, but your not. your soundcard has (if im not mistaken) a "balanced" input even though its a "1/4 inch" input.

...dont fret the vocabulary..if im inderstanding it right. stay with your current setup until you're ready to spend good money on a good mic pre-amp, which will make a big difference on your sound....

....but im a newbie so im more giving my advice so it can be corrected by someone who knows what they're talking about, not for someone to truly follow it... :rolleyes:

u can buy balanced connections for the delta 1010lt - for £25 at turnkey.co.uk in the uk. i know that i can buy balanced connections - it's not on the website but the guy in shop recommended it when i was asking about soundcards - check around and give some places a call - becuase it definitely exists....and actually makes the delta 1010lt a useful card!
