It seems that a lot of people have 24/96 capability, but only record at 48khz. Wouldn't it be just as well to use a Delta Dio 24/48, or am I missing out in something here? Also, in my Midiman catalog, it says the Dio 24/48 can act as my Windows soundcard and that I can plug my speakers through them.

So, even at 24/48, will this card sound just as well as the 24/96's out there?

thanks all

It doesn't record analog. It does have analog outs, however.

BUT does it still have updated drivers? According to the site there are no drivers for 2000/XP Sure it may be enough for your needs but if you can't get drivers for newer OS's what is the point?

It posted this the other day :

Lesson #1 in choosing a soundcard - never buy a card that is not currently produced of supported by the manufacturer. You are just asking for trouble!

There have been Win2k drivers for the Delta Series, including the Audiophile and DIO, for well over a year now. XP was supported before XP came out.
