Why are good rythym players so rare?

As far as lead guitar being more difficult, I used to think that 15 years ago. Now I couldn't disagree more.

I knew someone would come along and disagree in the broad sense of my statement, thats why I added generally a couple times.

Like they say "Guitar is one of the easiest instruments to play, yet hardest to master"

Alex Lifeson bad leads? la villa strangiato has great leads to me. Everybody has their own opinion I guess
I never heard Summers lead before... just alot of coutermelody lines
