Who's Got an Omni Studio Setup ?

Hi peeps

Since my last question didnt go down very well ill try a new angle.
I guess there are some people here who are using an omni studio setup to record music and some who are currently getting one (..i seem to be mirroring MusicDarkAngel's movements at the moment so i apologise for all the duplicated threads.) .

My problem is that my setup is no where near good enough and so im gonna have to upgrade first before i get the Omni studio. My Question to those who have/getting the Omni studio (delta 66) is.... What specifications are your computers ? - (processor, motherboard, Ram, HDD..etc)

And how good are they with the Omni (speed,quality,Number of tracks)

as this will give me a good indication of where to go from here..

another omni studio...

man, this is so funny I have talked so much about the omni today.
It is a good choice. As far as a computer you could turn this into a very large thread. May I suggest one of my favs: a intel pentium 3 with 256 mb of ram. Since you are choosing the omni Im guessing that your either working a demo or just having fun with music. You should easily be able to record a decent amount of tracks with a few plug-ins on them. I wouldnt think you'll see any problems with track count or plug-in processing (maybe in time, dont we all) , then guess what, just upgrade, easy huh?

OMNI's preamps sound very sweet. OMNI system is veeeeery flexible. GO FOR IT, if you ask me!

IT worx excellent!!! NO problem!! Drivers, installation-no prob!
-8 ch recording, at least 35 tracks playback(more weren't tested!!)
with quite a few of plugins!!

Mint.. I dont know what id do with all those tracks but hey, who cares. Thanks for the info. Im nearly to the point of deciding what to upgrade to now and then im definetely buying the Omni studio.
