Yes, I said PAID. I am sick of all the lazy ass "what's in it for me" types who THINK they are way better than they really are, talk big and deliver very little, or are total flakes and can't be depended on. Just sick of it I tell ya!!

I've got a drummer already who is covering MOST of my material. But I still have a good bit that is outside of his comfort range. I am not willing to drop the material, and I have a lot of stuff written and ready for another album already, but drums still need to be done on the first one. I don't want to keeo waiting, so I am willing to PAY someone to do it. This is the hardest, heaviest, meanest, most precise and tightest stuff I have.

Of course I will make samples available. I am not talking silly hyperfast craziness here. I can play drums, so I know what is and what is not in the realm of possibility.

The $ amount is totally negotiable. I don't even know what to offer to begin negotiations. I'll leave that up to those who may want to do this. But I have some requirements that must be met in order to be considered for the job.

You must have your own studio and the ability to record your own drums take after take as many times as it takes. You must be able to maintain a consistent sound take after take, from beginning to end, and you must be open to constructive criticism. You must be able to play with a click track and stay DEAD ON, even on slighty odd time signatures. You must be able to provide me with some of your own tracks so I can hear what you do. I don't care AT ALL how you get your sound. You can have Behriger gear for all I care. Just be able to make it sound good. And last, you must be good enough to do what I need done. Bands I often refer people to are Meshuggah, Fear Factory, Strapping Young Lad, and Carcass. If you do not know who any of these bands are, I don't think you would be able to do what I need done.

Soo....please post or pm me if you are intereseted in the job. Ask all the questions you can think of.....and don't forget to set a price that we can discuss. I'll send some sample audio files to those who I think are a good fit.

I can't check the board every day, but I will check a couple times a week.

Thank you all.

Yes!

I am willing to PAY!

All I need is a seven fingered giant with the ability to hover over water without touching. He should be my slave and do everything I ask.

What about sampled drums?
I can program some pretty insane drums in Drumkit From Hell Superior (the same software that the new Meshuggah album was done with)
and get some excellent sounds. Also, I'm quite familiar with the bands you've mentioned.

'Sup all

Figured I'd give this a quick check to see if anything's happeneing.....

arnorhs,

FYI - once you develop your skills and talents beyond that of the average garage band, it will become increasingly difficult to find other people who are on your level. It's just a fact. Why would you pass up an opportunity to polish your chops, get your name out there, have a well recorded, mixed and mastered cd with YOUR playing on it, YOUR name on it, AND earn some extra cash? I'd do it in a heartbeat if I liked the material.

metalhead28,

I have programmed the drums already with DKFH 2 and a couple others. I don't NEED a drummer to do this, I just would PREFER it. In my opinion drums feel better if they are played by a human. Are you a drummer?

I know what you mean. I do play drums, but I just don't have the speed or extreme technique for alot of the stuff that I like. Also I don't have enough equipment for a top notch drum recording, that's why I got into DFHS. I just wanted to throw that out there because I would enjoy doing something like this. Anyway, good luck!

Though, It does sound like you're looking for a drum machine in your previous post.

Good Luck bro, i know the frustration of trying to find players.

 how is expecting a drummer to play the parts RIGHT instead of CLOSE ENOUGH like asking for a drum machine? My playing and singing is always dead on or I do it again and again untill it is. Are you saying that expecting the same level of musicianship form others is asking too much? Or asking for a machine?? Or are you just satisfied with "good enough"?

PhraseMMX - Thanks for the info. He will be contacted.....

I didn't intend on checking this often, but there have been some interesting posts. I just might have to check in every day...

He will record drum tracks for you or drum and bass tracks with his brother Matt on bass if required according to his website!

I reckon it will cost you though!

I would love to have a go but don't have a studio set up all the time!

Phrase

Dave Weckl will also do it. He has a nice PT rig.

I might be able to but it'll be a month or so before I can.

Nah Nah, that's not what I meant. Actually, nevermind. (Posted that while nearly asleep in my chem lecture... )

Good luck finding a drummer.

Well...thanks....

It's not looking too good, though. I'll let this die in another week or so.

I will do it, I would have to go to a friends studio, but i can do it. I know i can hang, thats not a big deal. but what about you? what kind of music? give me an email

For Bdrum.....

Mr. Bdrum.....clear you PM box dude...I can't respond.....but here's my response anyway, incase you pop in here...

I checked out both sites....nice.....

I'm checking out the song walkaway right now....cool.....that's the drummer...right?

My stuff is a bit different, but there are possibilities here. I'm interested in taking this to the next step.

I'd like to send you some tracks in .wav format....would you be able to have your drummer put down some of his tracks to them and then send it back to me, again in .wav format? Don't worry about mixing....I'll take care of that. If that turns out cool, I'd like to arrange your fee.

Zed,

I own a nice tracking studio and can play the drums solidly.
I'm interested in hearing samples.
If the parts you'd like seem outside of my technical ability, I should be able to find someone to come in who can play it. Provided the price was right - I'd charge my normal studio rate ($35/h) plus whatever the drummer wanted.
Anyway, let me know if you're interested.

What style music is it?

Metal is the best description, but it's not typical metal. Combine Carcass, Fear Factory, Type O Negative, and Strapping Young Lad and you've got an idea of what to expect.
