I CAN SMELL EM!
Come on!!!!!
Strats 3 pickups, Teles 2. HA!
Strats cool body shape, Teles plank style body shape. HA! HA!
And finally and most important.
Me and Voxvendor play Strats! And should be enough reason for everyone to play one!!! ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

I'm SO CONFUSED! I play both! I don't know how to respond! :D

Remeber the lipstick

Who cares if its got only two... those are two good pickups that work togeather other than three that can only be two at a time, I've been playin a tele for years and its sound like nothing else, its a differnt guitar. Remeber in guitars there is no good or bad its DIFFERNT, why don't you voice your opions a little less negatively.

Exactly.......

....just like the Les Paul / Strat debate.

Its apples and oranges....but they both taste good in a fruit salad.

I am under the assumption, fellas, that Eyes was kidding. Les Pauls are all that matters anyway.:D

Buy a Heritage!!!

Oh like you didn't see that coming.

I suppose the right thing to do would be to copy my post from the "who really cares about strats" thread and substitue the word tele for strat, But.... I'm to lazy:D

F.S.

Do Strat copies count?

I never use the center pickup, might as well be a Tele!

Don't you know outside pressure can break up a family!
Leave the caster's alone:(

The tele sound is really not my style of guitar, but I have always thought it had a really unique, and great sound. Especially on the neck pickup.

Thank you Matty!
You know the purpose of this BBS is mainly for information.
But gentlemen, having a good time IS ALLOWED.

For me, I choose a Tele because it has the closest feel to an acoustic guitar. When plugged it, it just sounds more gutsy than any other I've played. A strat just doesn't ring as much and feels too springy. The strat was my first and only love before I pledge my heart to the Tele.

I play both, I agree its an apple and orange comparison and the above is just my personal preference of one of them.

Jimi Page changed the whole musical landscape with a tele, because of an endosement deal he only got his picture took with les pauls but he didnt record with them. Just a tele thru a supro 10w tube amp.

Tele's = kick ass
Strats = kicks ass

Although, I would like them both better with smaller heels.

Tele's are great for rock, blues, chickn' pickn' country

good guitars

...one thing for sure.

Keith Richard won't be one of the Rock N' Roll God without his Tele...

A great player is a great player no matter what guitar he plays.
