Correction:Who has the Best Drum Sample Library

...one shot no loops for Dirty south and rnb

Fantom presets aren't going to cut it.

I've been contemplating buying some rap and r&b drum kits (libraries ) off one of these sites such as P5 Dopekits, modernbeats, etc. but not sure.

what do the veterans do?
Or am I better off using a sw sampler like sampletank or mach five or reason and trying to edit and create my own sounds?

I know the pros customize their own drum sounds but how? and what progams do they use?

Google it.

Sounds like I'm being rude here, but really - type your favorite producer's name in google and see what he does for drums...because there isn't a standard for drum sounds - everybody's different. I worked with a band recently who was very demanding with their drumsound "We want it to sound like this band - period", so instead of fighting with their natural drum sounds or tweaking my existing samples for hours and hours on end, I tracked down their "ideal band's" producer and googled him. Turns out he uses Steven Slate drums with Drumagog - since I already own (and use ALL THE TIME) Drumagog, buying the Steven Slate drum samples put me right there with the exact tools for the job. The drums sounded exactly how the client wanted, and the EP came out fantastic....so really - Google it.

Pro Samples Vol 43 Real Kits..... sure theres loops on the disk but there's 5 different kits with (i think) 30 different velocity hits on each sample.

I used to use it when I programed all my beats on fruity loops and it worked a treat. I still use it with drumagog to to trigger if I record a bad sounding kit.
