>the 1010 comes with the same control panel in the software, which can be aggravating at times
the only thing aggravating about the Delta Control Panel is that sideways scroll thingie. WTF were they thinking? Fill the damn screen- it doesn't cost any more to do that!!!! I wanna see ALL the settings at a glance.
Not really a reply, but a question. Being new to the computer recording game, I am looking for a multi in/out soundcard. I have been looking specifically at :
1. Delta 1010
2. Omni/66
3. Echo Mona
4.Echo Layla
5. Motu 828
6. The new Presonus Firestation
There are specific reasons why I like them by description and reputation, but I need help settling on one.
I like the sound of the Delta 1010 for the price ($549) and I have been really happy with the Audiophile so I wouldn't mind staying with M Audio.
With the Motu and Presonus, they are both firewire and have built in preamps (2), but the presonus has the same preamps as in the Digimax, which I have heard are great!
The Echo products I have heard great things about from forums like this, and I like the idea of Mona's 4 preamps.
Could someone (or a few of you) give your input? I'd really appreciate the help.
I looked at the Aardvark, but I think it is primarily for PC, I'm on a Mac . If I'm wrong, then I would definitely consider the Aardvark Q10. Of the ones I listed though, could anyone give their opinion? Thanks.
Mike
