I have been looking at the LYNXONE Sound PCI sound card which seems to be capable of everything from the manufacturesr viewpoint.
How do I decide what card to get prior to the Software question,
Or is the card interdependant on the Software I may eventually get.
I am interested in Sampling my own analogue sounds manipulating on a PC and downloading to a Drum Machine/Controller...eventually adding instruments through a MIDI controller and them on to a full blown Home recording Studio

The Lynx cards are very good cards...I use the 22 now with Logic...no problems.

Most high end cards are compatible to all major software.

The Delta series, Lynx, Motu, RME are among the most highly recommended.

I have had problems with the USB audiophile working with HS2002. So, you might really need to do a little more research before you just start purchasing gear. It's to expensive to take a trial & error approach to equipment purchases

Your problems are mostly due to the fact your are using USB. PCI cards for the most part are way more reliable.
