Which software should i get?

I know how to work reason and i think its an amazing peace of software. The other programs i was referred to check out was acid and kontakt 2, i was wondering what the "best" software is out there in your guys opinion, i heard kontakt 2 was the best currently. Also what are the differences in say a program like reason and kontakt

Depends on what you are doing with the software?
Making beats?
Recording multiple instruments?
Making beats and Recording multiple instruments ect......?

you need to do some serious research buddy!

Kontakt 2 is a sampler while acid is a loop based sequencing program.

Look for something like Pro Tools, Nuendo, cubase or Cakewalk for multitrack editing. There's a lot of programs like this and any one if the ones I mentioned will link to similar programs. I use Sound Forge for final editing. Just do a search on any of those names.
