Which software can my computer run?

I currently have an HP ENVY-14 Notebook with a nondescript sound card (from what I can find) by HP Beats. I am looking for software a little more capable than audacity, and so I am wondering what software I can get that will work with my computer.

- Audacity is a mastering program that's pretty limited. You'll need software that has sequencing (depending on what you're trying to do). Adobe Audition is a good start, and maybe Fruity Loops....if you're desperate -

Sorry, Adobe Audition is NOT a good start.

You should look at getting a proper audio interface for your computer, rather than relying on its "nondescript sound card". Quite often these audio interfaces come bundled with free software (such as Cubase LE), and there is no harm in trying these.

Then try Reaper
