What would be better for recordign a 5 piece band Guitar Tracks Pro 3 or Sonar home studio 4?

I would go with Sonar Home Studio XL for the same price as Guitar Tracks Pro 3. GT has several guitar amp and effects pedal plugins, but does not allow you to work with midi at all, and doesn't seem to come with any useful FX for mixing. For true studio starter, Home Studio would be the way I would go.

Well IMHO for recording a 5 piece band the way to go is PRO. Get your hands on Sonar 4 (or 5) and you will NOT regret it. Good luck,
