Which preamp to invest in for the Neumann u87 mic?

An AT4050 is a really great all around LDC mic for the money. Im also a huge fan of the SM-7, but do not consider it as Versatile. I'm not really familiar with all the interface options. There are so many. I've worked with the Apollo from UA and thought it sounded good, plus it comes with nice mic pres and UA plug-ins. Several friends have the apogee interface and really like it. I have yet to find a better mid level mic pre than the SafeSound P1. It also includes a very transparent onboard compressor that is great for tracking.
