Hi,
I recently bought a ricoh mp6200s cd writer for use with
my akai dps12i recorder. The cd writer came with a scsi
isa card for my pc. I have a hp xe743 pavillion pc. Upon
contacting hp I was told that my pc doesn't have isa slots
they recommended that I buy a pci scsi card. The specs for my pc say there are 4 pci slots available. Can anyone tell
me what would be the best and least exspensive card for my
pc? I don't want to have to buy a another cd writer for my
pc.
Thanks,
David

Try Adaptec

David,

You must first find out which type of scsi does your Akai dps12i Recorder and your Ricoh mp6200s cd writer use. Example I own the jvc 2040 cdrw, iomega jaz drive and a zip drive. The jaz drive and the cd writer use scsi-2, the old scsi zip drive uses scsi-1. Pay close attention to the different connectors. You can purchase adaptors to convert the connectors. I found an old Adaptec 2920 that was compatible with all of my scsi devices for $130.00 at CompUSA. I'm sure that it is less expensive now. This is a pci card.
