Im needing to get a pretty good recording set up for drums with about 200 and I already have overheads which would be a better option 1)three gls es-57s and and akg d112 or 2) the rvk5 mic set from red5 or something else maybe(I would prefer not to have just kick and snare cause I need the toms to really come through strong in alot of my stuff) thanks

I use the GLS ES-57s and am very happy with them. They are VERY close to an sm57. Although I'm not a big fan of the D112, its a good kick mic. I like the Beta52, but that is personal taste.

Dot has had very good things to say about the Red5 stuff though...so you might want to check that out...
