I know this is really awful and may disgust some of you however it is a reality for me OK...
I need to record some guitar tracks and I don't have any good mics for this application and the guys I'm recording don't want to go rent any good ones so I have these to choose from:
Shure SM 58
Audix 3x-b
Audix OM6
Which one will work the best? I'm recording a Mesa/Boogie Triple Rectifier half stack and/or a Marshall JCM800 half stack, so I will need a good clean tone and a crunchy distortion tone. I hope I don't sound like a fool...I know I should take pride in my recordings, but for these guys I am not really willing to pay out of my own pocket for some mics....But since my name is still going to be behind it, I want it to sound decent.
