which monitors for voiceover?

I'm using a pair of Edirol MA-10Ds for home voiceover recording but a studio engineering friend thinks they are too bass-heavy and were meant more for music. So, are they any decent monitors that are more neutral sounding and good for voice work? Budget: $200-500

I hear that the Fostex PM-1's are supposed to be great for vocals.
NS10's too..
