ok,saturday i will be recording a bluegrass quartet consisting of an electric bass,guitar,banjo and mandolin and three to four vocal tracks per cut.we will track instruments first then vocals.i know i will d.i. the electric bass,so i want to know what mics you guys would put on what instrment.my current mic compliment here consists of an alesis /gt am-11,md 421 sennheiser,shure beta 57a,ev nd357,an sm 58 and a crown pzm.which for the acoustic guitar,banjo and mandolin.let's have some fun with this.by the way,recording is going to adat via yamaha rm-800 24x8 mixer....les
