What's up guys I don't have but 3 mics a MXL990,993, and ShureSm57. I'm going to be recording a friend later that'll be playing the guitar, singing, and harmonica, Dylan type stuff. I'll be using the 993 on the guitar but I'm not sure on the other. Just wondering if anyone had any experience or suggestions for my choices. I'm sure I'll try both but I was just curious. thanks alot

HI: I am a real 1 man band(play drum kit, guitar, harp on a rack, sing), and record it alot. I have tried a lot of different mics for the vocal/harp. I know this isn't in your arsenal, but the AKG C414 is my favorite all around mic. It catches both the voice and acoustic harp tone very well. I never even have to do any eq to that track. It also does great as an acoustic guitar mic, drum kit mic, and guitar amp mic. I have 2 of them, that I bought used, for about $300 each. You can hear about 400 some odd songs at this link. Walter
