which low-end headphone do you think best for minitoring, mixing, sound desinging
on my list sennheiser hd25,hd280s,hd270s
akg 240s,K141S
and "moreme".
the value of Moreme beat them all.
but i have a doubt whether Moreme can be used for minitoring, mixing, sound desinging as low-end....
how do you think?
Some people have told me that they found the sound of the MoreMe's to be surprisingly good. I'm not quite as certain as they are. Of course, the trial period of a month will tell you if they're good enough for your needs. If you don't like them after a month or so, simply send them back for a full refund. All the info is at:
http://moreme.info.
Why do I offer a "month plus" trial period?
One, because I know most people have a life beyond the recording studio, and it may be a week or two, or more before they can actually try them.
Two, because I don't want unhappy users and I feel you hafta try stuff for a reasonable period to make a really accurate evaluation.
Three, because I know they'll work well for the largest number of interested potential customers, so I'm not afraid to offer a month trial, (and I know from personal experience, that sticking to exactly 30 days is a pain in the ass, so I'm not gonna nail somebody's butt to the wall if they keep them for 5 weeks and then return them).
Four, because I'm really not one of "them" - I'm one of "us". I don't sell stuff for a living; I run a recording studio. I try to treat people who buy stuff from me like I would like to be treated as a customer.
Five, because I really believe that these things solve a very real problem for a lot of studios and I feel good that I can help.
And finally, I don't like getting ripped off by overpriced gear, and I don't like being given the run around when I have a problem with gear. Ask anybody who's had a problem with MoreMe phones (yes, sometimes it happens) and they'll tell you how fast I have a new pair out to them, long before they return the bad pair.
So, are the MoreMe's better than the phones you listed? Yes, and no. For tracking, I'd go with the MoreMe's. For critical listening, I use the Radio Shack Nova 67's, but they're open back, so they're worthless for tracking. For sheer enjoyment, I use the Grado SR-60s or SR-80's.
Out of those you listed, I'd choose the Sennheiser 280s or the 270s, or the big Beyer DT250s, but for one pair of any of those, I could buy an awful lot of MoreMe's, enough for every musician in an average rock band, and even a pair for the drummer.
PS:
Apologies to everybody if this post sounds like Spam, but it's kinda important for everybody to understand where I'm coming from with these phones. I really don't care if you buy MoreMe's or not; I don't make a hell of a lot off the sales of them to worry whether someone is gonna buy em or not.
But it is important to me for people to understand that I only sell them because nobody else would, and I thought they worked pretty damn decent for tracking at a fair price. So again, I apologize if it sounds like I'm hyping them; I'm just trying to make everybody aware of what they are, and what they aren't.
