Yeah I heard about that jbran. That's why i was kinda weary of it, but does it have more sample memory than than the mc-909? I heard you couldn't chop samples up on the mc-808, but you could on the 909. I might just go ahead and get the fantom x.
The reason why i wanted the mc-808 is because the new sounds they upgraded from the 909 into it, but that doesn't really mean to much if your a sample head. Me I don't really sample much and am just looking for something that has all the sounds right in the box where i can get started. The Fantom x seems way cool because of the drum pads.
