going into the sound card..is it better to use the xlr input..or the 1/4 ...goin from the preamp to the soundcard..recording vocals...is either 1 better..or does it matter?

As long as the xlr input is a line level input, there will be no difference between the two. However, sometimes the xlr inputs go through a preamp. If you are using an external preamp, you won't need another one.

well i have the echo gina 3g...and i'm trying to bypass it's preamps..and the only inputs are the 2 universal inputs..so i wanted to know if i should use the xlr cable going into it or the 1/4
