which footswitch should I buy?

Which footswitch should I buy for my Yamaha PSR-225GM keyboard?

The owners manual says its compatible with both the FC4 and FC5.

I've had a FC5 for about a year and it has stopped working (stuck "on"). (Any ideas on how to fix it?)


The FC4 costs twice what the FC5 does. If the FC4 is more durable than the other, I'm willing to pay the difference.

All I use the pedal for is sustain like a real piano.
