I recently bought a brand new P4 running Windows XP Home Edition. My old computer has one Gadget Labs Wave/8*24 audio card for my audio interface. I wish to install this audio card in my new system.

Unfortunately, Gadget Labs has gone out of business.

I am posting for suggestions on how to proceed. Gadget Labs' web site is still up with some drivers, one driver for Win NT 2000, and the other driver for Win ME/98. Since Win XP is based on Win NT 2000, it would be logical to use the NT 2000 driver for the Wave/8*24.

Any ideas? Is anybody using the Wave/8*24 card under Win XP Home Edition?

I have a wave 824 too, but still run with windows 98. I guess I'd try both drivers and see if you can get reasonable results. I'm guessing that XP is more similar to 2000 than ME, but more than likely neither will work 100%.

It might be better to just get windows 2000 or get a new card.

It won't work.

I tried everything. Gadget Labs Wave 824 won't work under Win XP. I guess I will sell it.
