Just curious as to what type of setups we all prefer live. If you don't mind jot a line or 2 and take a second to register a vote. Thanx!!!

If I find at least one thing about a synth I like, I'll put it into my live setup, and perform any maintainence to keep it there. For my full setup I use, a bunch of gear:

PC with tons of soft synths
2 M-Audio Radium 61's
1 M-Audio Oxygen 8
1 Korg N264
1 Korg N364
1 Korg Karma
2 Korg Poly-61
1 Yamaha DX-11 (Indefinitely on loan to my nephew)
1 Yamaha MR-1
1 Lowrey Genie
1 Alesis SR-16

For my light setup, I'll usually grab Karma, N364, and 1 Poly-61

Live rack:

Fully loaded Roland XV-5080. I use various controllers with this, depending on the show, but most of the time I use a Roland A-70.

I used to drag a big heavy rack around with a bunch of modules in it, but now I can usually find everything I need in the 5080. Of course, most of the sounds I use are on the expansion boards, and I have all eight slots filled. If that doesn't do it, I also have the RAM maxed, and often load samples in as well. If I need to buy an expansion board for a show, to cover some special sounds, I'll do that too. Not a problem to swap cards in and out depending on the needs of the show.
