Pandora accepts submissions based on a jury protocol. They require that your physical cd's are available on Amazon (CDBaby does that!) and you submit three songs to them and they will decide whether to put your tunes up in rotation or not.
I've looked into them before, but never followed through. It's something I really should do.... ah, but once I get past the procrastination stage.
Alternatively, you can have a million YouTube subscribers. Perry Gripp and Epic Rap Battles of History are on there probably mostly on those strengths.
With all that I don't sell anything ,so who knows...
There's your answer. If you care about selling, and you're not selling, then youtube hits and facebook likes and blogs obviously means nothing.
It's funny....it's never been easier to promote one's self. The internet has shrunk the globe to the size of a computer screen. Facebook, youtube, twitter, etc makes it simple to potentially achieve levels of exposure that were damn near impossible before. You can potentially get fans literally on the other side of the world......Yet still no one makes any money or has any actual fans. Why even bother?![]()
